Hi fellows:
I have a resource that is assigned 50% on a task that starts 01/01/2005.
That task finishes on 01/03/2005.
I have other task that starts on 01/02/2005. I would like to assign to this tast the maximum available each day.
I mean I want it to have assigned 50% of the resource for days 01/02/2005 and 01/03/2005. Then on the task should be assigned the 100% of the resource.
I would like it automátically, so any reschedulling or modifications reasigns the remaining availability to taht task.

Is there a way to do this?

Best regards

There is no automatic way to do this. You can manually perform this operation, however, by assigning the resource to the second task at 50% units, applying the Task Usage view, and then editing the Work in the timephased grid to show 8 hours per day on the last part of the task. Hope this helps.

Dale:
I found a way similar to the one you described using the "Resource usage view".
Both view look very similar. As far as I can see the only difference is the grouping.

Thanks for your help.

Best regards

The Task Usage and Resource Usage views are both assignment views, and therefore, you can perform the steps in either view. Hope this helps.
