Remaining Work reverts to old value after update

Hi All,

We have a project who have an issue with the value of remaining work not
reflecting correctly after updates.

The Project uses MOPS 2003
They use the tracking setting "Hours of work done per day or per week" and
Managed Time Periods. Their PMs are also forced to use these tracking
settings.

Here is the scenario:

Team member submits hours for the week including any remaining work for the
task. The PM accepts the work but after the replication with the workplan,
the remaining work value reverts back to its value before the manual change.

I hope this makes sense

Hi Gary,

Apparently it is only happening to one workplan on the instance.

Suspecting corruption, I rebuilt the binary as per the URL below

The user just tested the plan yesterday as it was time to accept time into
the plan again but the problem seems to remain.

SP3 has been applied to the system (some time back)

I think this project has been complaining of this issue for a few weeks now.

One thing I did notice is that their projects on the instance are out of
sync with protected actuals and they asked me not to select yes to "sync with
protected actuals when you save this project".

I had suggested earlier that they republish assignments and overwrite
actuals to provide a short term fix for the remaining work issue but they are
afraid of using this as they lost actuals before after doing this...

There are no spooler errors I'll look more into the event logs and post back
