Remaining Work vs Status Date

Hello

We can manually use "Tools/Tracking/Project Update" to push remaining work
in the past after the Project Status Date.

In "Tools/options/Calculation", we can check the box "Move Start of
Remaining Work ...". I expect getting the same result with the previous maual
option once I will have entered the Status Date. But, nothing happens.

Is the last option supposed to do the same job as the manual one? Does it
work?

TP:

Selecting the option affects the tasks that get updated through the Update
page in PWA. With the option selected, anytime you accept updates from
resources, the remaining work is rescheduled to the occur after the date you
process the update. The catch is that for tasks that aren't worked on in a
particular update period, remaining work doesn't get rescheduled. You still
need to do these manually.
