reminder fire problem in outlook 2000

every time i open my outook I get 50 pop-up windows or or the
assistant balloon with 50 reminder events. If i dismiss each event
they come back after a while and start all over. I believe that I
created this problem by trying to update my home and work outlook
through my flash drive. I ran a macro that attempted to
turn .reminderset to false for all appointments. This did not help.
In fact when you open the individual event it shows no alarm. All of
the events are birthdays and anniversaries.

I am a case worker and these contacts are part of my caseload. The
DOB, I need for semi-obvious reasons and the anniversary is the date
the case opened. I have written macros that keep my appointments and
journals connected to the correct contact and save them in folders so
that I can print them out as contact notes for the case folder (yes,
sadly we still keep everything in paper files)

I have searched this and other forums and think one solution might
involve a reminder collection. Is that possible in 2000?

If this problem sounds familiar, it is. I did try to post it earlier
in the month but got no love. I hope this repost lays out the problem
better. (and allows me to be forgiven for reposting).

I found the instructions and the procedure had no effect.

Hm, you might try to run your macro again, and additionally to setting
ReminderSet=False set ReminderTime="1.1.4501". Don't forget to save the item
then.

this did not work but thanks for your attention. ?? I ended up
deleting the offending events. I have one straggler. For time being
I am keeping it around for testing.
