Reminder popups no longer appear.

After upgrading to new PCs with Windows XP we find that in Outlook 2000, SP3
we no longer get reminder popups that we set in the calendar. Popup reminders
are enabled under options/other/advanced/reminder options. Anone know a
workaround for this?
