Reminder Screen upon opening Outlook

Sam Savanah

I am running Office 2002 Pro which includes Outlook. I am running XP
Pro as the OS. I had to re-create my contact list (only used for email
addresses as I used Outlook for email only) by hand. After I entered
the info for each person I wanted in my address book by hand, now each
time I open Outlook I get this Reminder Screen with bell like noise. I
have 28 contacts and the Reminder screen says I have 28 reminders. The
screen has all my contacts listed and gives me the choice to Dismiss
all, Open Item or Dismiss. The screen also gives me the option to
click snooze to be reminded again and then gives me some time
increment and a Snooze button.

I do not know how option got set and I cannot find anyway to get rid
of it. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Sam,

When the reminder pops up again select the Dismiss all button. See if the
helps. It will not delete any contacts.

Thank you for your replies but I tried both of those things before I
made my request. I even went thru each individual address entry and
cleared the flag. Each entry originally had a "follow up flag" set.
There does not seem to be a flag set but the reminder screen keeps
coming up.

Thank you thank you. The opening of Outlook with switch setting
"cleanreminders" did the trick. I have opened Outlook 5 times and no
reminder screen.
Thanks again for the help ya'all gave me.

Adding contacts via the Address Book interface is improper. Add Contacts in
the Contacts folder.
