Reminders for secretary only

I've set up calendar/contact sharing for a VP and his secretary. All is
well except that the VP doesn't want to have calendar reminders appear on
his screen; he wants them to appear only on his secretary's screen. I
considered sharing her calendar with him, but this brings up two other
problems (added level of confusion for him, and he then can't see his
appointments using OWA).

Is there a way to have reminders fire for the "delegate" and not for the
folder owner??
