Reminders not firing after a few days

As a programmer, I find that I can get stuck for hours in front of the
computer without taking a break or drinking water. So I have set up a
number of recurring reminders each working day of the week to prompt
me to drink water. The problem is that after a few days, the
reminders stop ... well, reminding. My computer is on all the time
for other reasons so Outlook is never shut. If I do shut outlook and
reopen it (with even rebooting my computer), all the out of date
reminders come up.

So my question is, why is this happening and what can I do to stop it
or start it - whichever way you want to look at it.

Thanks

Hey Snowcrash,

Did you find a fix?

I have the same problem except that I turn off my computer
every day. Regularly, I notice that I haven't been
reminded for a weekly task, and when I check, the reminder
tick box is no longer selected.
