Reminders remain for an Outlook 2007 calendar that has been deleted

I'm running Outlook 2007 with Windows 7, and I had set up a calendar for my son's school schedule with daily reminders for his classes. I deleted the calendar and foolishly assumed that the reminders would be deleted as well. Is there any way to clear these reminders from my Outlook?

Thanks for any help you can offer!

If you're going to use a posting method that posts everything on one long line
like EggHeadCafe does, please add explicit newline characters by pressing
Enter when you reach the end of a line.

Deleting a secondary calendar should delete the reminders. Did you empty your
Deleted Items folder? Try starting Outlook once with the /cleanreminders
command switch.
Start>Run (or Start Search)> outlook.exe /cleanreminders
Be sure to include the space between ".exe" and "/".

I had tried outlook /cleanreminders,
but, even though, you could see it working,
it did not resolve the issue...
emptying my deleted items did, however!
Thanks for your help!
