I've just configured some remote users to connect to our
exchange server via Pop3. Outlook sends & recieves their
emails just fine. Is there a similar way to also send &
recieve calendar information?
For more detail & background, read on.
I had these remote users connecting via Terminal services
and viewing Outlook (and many other programs) within a
remote desktop session. The problem with this is that
they cannot sync their overpriced palm/phones with outlook
in a terminal session. The reason they can't be
configured to hot sync, is because they're USB, so I can't
map ports to do it. So... since it's easy to hotsync with
a local install of Outlook I've added pop3 to my exchange
server and configured their local outlook to connect to
it. Emails are no problem, but calendaring is still a
feature we need. They need to be able to edit their
calendar and have other users in our exchange organization
see the changes. Obviously they don't want to have to
create an appointment once on their local outlook and once
in Outlook via remote desktop. Any ideas?
Thanx in advance.
