i've read that i can run a script remotely from my workstation on a server
....
but this is possible only on a server?
i thought i can run a script from workstation A on workstation B ...

i'm a ultranewbie

Hi, Stranger.

There's nothing wrong with the English in your post.

The article you read mentions the word "server" only once, in the step about
using the System Policy Editor. In that context, they don't mean that the
remote system must running a "server operating system". In a general sense,
the remote system is a "server" and the local system is its "client", but
that is possible with both systems being workstations.

It would have been better if that sentence used the term "remote system"
that was used in the rest of the article.
