Remote SQL DB not on dedicated server.

I would like to create a remote BCM DB on a SQL database. Unforunately, I do
not have access or the budget for a dedicated server. After reading the
Microsoft documentation on creating a remote database in Outlook/BCM 2007, I
am not sure that it is possible to make all the changes necessary on a hosted
service. Has anyone had any success using a third-party SQL host? Any
thoughts/ideas?
