Remotely Deploying Office 2004 for Mac Updates

I manage a few Macs on our corporate network and remotely push Apple
updates to them through Apple Remote Desktop. I know that if the MS
updates were packages it would just be a matter of sending them out
with ARD, but since they're disk images I can't do that. Is there a
solution for doing something like this? I did some searching on the
mactopia site, the microsoft site and just in google in general and
found nothing regarding doing such a thing.
Thanks

Yeah, this is a real pain. ARD is great for packages indeed, but you
can't use it for Vise installer patches.

I believe John Welch had a post about this a while ago on his blog
<http://www.bynkii.com/>. For some reason I can't find the exact address
anymore.

His workaround involved installing the update on a Mac and using
PackageMaker to make a package that could be used through ARD of the new
install.
Painful, tedious, but if you have a lot of Mac to take care of it could
be worth it.

I sure hope that the next version of Office will come as a .pkg :-[
