Removal of unnecessary spaces above endnotes

D

Danny Warne

In my endnotes and/or footnotes Word has inserted several spaces above the
notes on each page, taking up about 6 to 10 lines per page. In print layout
view they appear as grey pagagraph marks. How do I eliminate these?

I am working with Word in Microsoft Office 2003.

It's likely that your footnote separator has acquired some extra paragraphs.
Switch to Normal view and select Footnote Separator from the list box on the
toolbar. Remove any excess paragraphs, then close.
