Remove all autonumbering from Word 2003 Document

Hi

We often receive the first drafts of huge documents with autonumbering
throughout.

I find that we spend a large quantity of time fighting autonumber: is there
a way to set autonumbered text to 'plain' numbering.

Hi Ben

You can convert all the autonumbers to plain text ('freezing' the currently
displayed values) by entering

ActiveDocument.ConvertNumbersToText in the Immediate Window (press Alt-F11,
Ctl-G to get to Immediate Window).
