Hi
I work as a teacher and use Excel for storing information about students. I also type in students' e-mail addresses but unfortunately Excel automatically makes an e-mail hyperlink. I'm not at all interested in having hyperlinks in my document so I manually remove them (undo after I've filled in one). This would all be fine but when I have a lot of students this extra procedure generates a lot of extra work.
The reason why I don't want extra hyperlinks is that when I accidentally activate one (press one), Excel opens a mailprogram and I'm not interested in sending individual mails to my students. It makes life difficult - I have to be careful with the links and it is more troublesome to edit the e-mail addresses
I tried to remove all autoformatting features but it didn't help. I tried to define the e-mail column as text and that didn't help either... Anyone have a tip
