Remove calendar from bottom of folder list

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard)
Processor: Intel
Email Client: pop

I installed Snow Lep (nightmare) reinstalled Office 2008, but a calendar now shows on the bottom of the folder list (View> show (hide) folder list.

This calendar didnt show before, and I cant remove it.

The options I want (as before) is *show* folder list, without the calendar

There is a little arrow at the bottom left of the window. Toggle this to
remove/add the mini calendar.
