remove check boxes

How can I remove all check boxes from a document? I can remove them one at a
time But I need them all gone. Is there a way to remove the check box but
leave the text associated with it.

What kind of text boxes? If they are form fields, move from one field to the
next by pressing F11, using the Delete key to get rid of them one by one.
Note that you will have to unprotect the document first.
