Remove checked items from To Do lists

Hi folks,

One of my users had what I thought was a basic request this morning: how does she remove checked (completed) tasks from a To Do list in OneNote. I was stunned to discover that (according to my Google searches) there's no easy way to do this.

Has Google failed me? Is there a better way to do this?
