remove 'copied over' page numbers

hi
my name's jan,
new here, so hello to all x

this is a, "is it possible" question, or have i wasted the whole morning
trying to do something that is impossible :s

i have a large document. it started out in pdf form, in adobe reader.
it has 600+ odd pages, and the pages have been numbered.

i want to print it off, but want to copy and paste into word, so i can edit,
and obviously make the document smaller, (saving paper and ink)
before i even edit, just by copying it into word its size is halved, only
300 pages.

my problem:
in adobe, the pages have been numbered (not sure if its important, but they
are right hand, top corner of each page)
when i copy the doc to word, i now have the page numbers dotted through out
the document, usually 2 or 3 to a (word) page.

can i remove them?

i know 'where' the 'replace' function is in word, and have some small
experience in using the function (in previous versions of word)
but i have no idea 'if' or how to remove the page numbers from the 'copied
over' document.

i have no experience with adobe, and can't see a way to remove the page
numbers prior to copy and paste.

any advice would be great
even if its, "stop wasting your time, its not possible"

hey, its ok, i found it

replace: special: any digit

it only took me 5 hrs lol

i now have blank lines to find a way of removing lol

i've not used word 2007 before, and its quite different from its earlier
versions...
lots of trial and error to come i think lol

Although you seem to have found an answer that suits you, another
possibility is to use the "Booklet" feature in Adobe Reader to print the
document as a half-size booklet (you may even be able to print them just two
pages per sheet).
