Remove Date Navigator

How can I remove the Date Navigator from the To Do Bar WITHOUT it jumping
over to the Shortcuts Bar? In other words, I don't want it to appear
ANYWHERE. Is this possible?

Perhpas my question was not as clear as I thought it was. Obviously, closing
the Shortcuts Bar and the To Do Bar would keep it from appearing, but I like
to operate with my calendar in the middle, Sortcuts bar on the left, To Do
Bar on the right as my Outlook default view. Why must the Date Navigator be
mandatory in this set up?

Because that is how it is designed.

I like to put my vote for removal of date navigator as well. It is sooo
annoying to click on the Calendar on the folder list and have the list jump
down because of the stupid date navigator. Or I have to loose good 100+
poixels and open the To-Do bar so I work around this bug.
How do we request this change from MSFT?

PS: JD, the best solution so far is to open the To-Do panel so the date
navigator moves from the Folder list to the To-Do bar. Then keep the To-Do
bar open and drag the vertical adjuster to minimize its size (right before it
colapes).
