Word 2007, SP1
I have a 200 page document with Headings 1-3 and captions for both tables
and figures. In total, I have about 50 tables and 200 figures.
I have a TOC for just headers 1-3, a list of Figures and a list of Tables -
for a total of three tables. This seemed to work fine last night.
I open the file this morning, and the TOC suddenly includes the Figures as
well as all of the headings - thus making the TOC way too long and a bit
unwieldy, as you have to surf past the Figure names to get to the headings.
How do I remove the figures from the overall TOC? I just want headings there.
Note that the Document Map has the same issue.
Things I've tried:
1) Delete the TOC, and create a new one, making sure that the TOC Options
are set to only headings. No dice, as this still includes the captions.
2) Review the captions to ensure none of them are headers. Nope.
Any suggestions?
