In SR-1/SR-1a updated Outlook 2000 Contacts section, the London, (United
Kingdom) area code is automatically formatted now, with NO apparent
possibility to change it. EXAMPLE: I llike to type phone numbers in the
following format: e.g. for an 8-digit number in London, I lwant to type it as
+ 44 20 1234 5678. Outlook 2000 now will NOT allow me to enter the data that
way; it automatically re-formats it as +44 (20) 1234 5678. This is the ONLY
U.K. telephone number to be so auto-formatted; if I were to try to do the
same with, e.g. a Belfast (U.K.) number, where the area code is (028) within
the U.K. dialling system, I can type in the number in my desired format,
i.e.: + 44 28 1234 5678. Can anyone PLEASE help with an add-in or fix to
remove this formatting limitation, which causes me SEVERE problems in the way
that have to store the data to suit the software; not in the way that I want
it to be stored. Thank you.
