Remove Hidden Data Tool - Eliminate Read Only Message

Steve

I have used the Remove Hidden Data tool on a Word 2003 document and now I can
not get rid of the "...should be opened as read-only unless changes to it
need to be saved." message. I have opened it for editing, made changes,
saved as another file name and I still get this message. How can I get rid
of this message? Or is the document forever tagged?

Hello Steve,

You've landed in a discussion group for users of Mac versions of Word (not
your fault: it's a charming foible of MS's "discussions" web interface,
which I see you used). Mac versions differ variously from PC versions.
Although several people here use both PCs and Macs and may give you an
answer soon, it's likely that more people in a PC group have experienced
your specific problem. Here's where all the groups are listed:

Clive,

Thanks for the response. After posting I noticed that my question somehow
got into a Mac discussion group. I finally was able to figure out how to
post to the Windows Word group and I posted my question there.

Thanks again for the response.
