Remove Hyperlink in Outlook 2000 SP-3

Can anyone tell me why I can't remove a hyperlink from my e-mail message in
Outlook 2000 SP-3? When I highlight it and go to my insert menu, there is no
Remove Hyperlink option, and I cannot find any other place to disable the
automatic hyperlink that is added when I type my URL. Thanks!
