remove invalid recipients from a huge list

In my work I often need to send email to a huge list of users. The
problem is that user names in the list is not always valid - some of
them left the firm already, for example. When I paste the list into To:
box,

- it takes long time to resolve all names
- it won't let me send the message unless I remove all invalid
entries
- it's pain in the butt to remove invalid users when the list is huge,
say, thousands

Can outlook remove invalid entries automatically intead of requiring me
to do it manually? Or what's the better way to do this?

http://www.mapilab.com/outlook/actual_contacts/

However, if the mail server accepts all e-mails and ends the mail
session before it has tried to deliver the e-mail, like for forwarding
services, then you won't really know if the contact is still valid.

I don't think it's a good idea to paste thousands of e-mail addresses
into the 'To:' field. Think of an alternate method of sending email to a
huge target, e.g. mail merge.

Outlook cannot do this for you. Update whatever source you're using to remove
the invalid addresses.

Thank you all but I will probably take Brian's answer that there is no
way to do it within OL.

I agree it's not wise to put thousands names in one email but that is
something I can't change. The user list is generated from folder ACLs so
it's not possible to fix the resource either.
