Remove leading zeros

Hi, I have a table with a field called CUST_ACN that is set to text. The
numbers contain leading zeros, like this: 000000001401. Now, what is the best
way to remove those leading zeros when I create and run a simple query?

If a whole number above roughly 32,000 (see Integer definition)..
CLng...converts to a Long Integer. If a mixed number, check
converting to a Single or a Double.
