Remove marking for TOC, TOA, etc.

Sharon

I have a very long document that was not formatted correctly when creating
the Table of Contents, Table of Authorities, Table of Figures. I want to
remove all codes from this document and start over. However, when I mark the
headings, even the ones that I haven't marked are showing in the TOC. I went
to the heading and there is no code associated with that heading (I tried
alt-F9). Can someone tell me why the headings are showing when they have no
code?

The table of contents is being built from the heading styles in the
document. In the Table of Contents dialog, click on the Options button and
uncheck the "Styles" box under "Build table of contents from:"
