Remove Menu Bar item in Office Word 2003

Recently an item called Acrobat Comments appeared on my Menu Bar in Word
right after Help. I reinstalled Word, but it reappeared. Then I tried
reinstalling Adobe Acrobat - same thing. Does anyone have an idea on how to
remove this?

I wish software developers would show some consideration to their customers
by allowing them to have control over what add-ins or third party software
is written to their systems, instead of just assuming that we want them.

Hi, mszablocky,

Sounds like a new Acrobat feature for Word? Do you need to remove it if it
is a useful feature?

If so, look in Tools | Templates and Add-Ins and uncheck any Acrobat-related
items there. If unchecking or deleting that doesn't get rid of it, then you
may need to either uninstall Acrobat or contact Adobe. They are responsible
for how their software installs and integrates with your system.

Thanks, Susan. I solved the problem with a little research on Adobe's
website. The only problem I need to clear up now is that I have two
instances of Adobe PDF on my Menu Bar. Do you know what the Registry edit
for that would be? Or an easier fix if there is one.

Right-click on the menu and choose Customize. Delete one or both by
dragging them off the menu bar.

Glad you resolved it!
