Remove Office Component

Office 2000 Pro SP1
I want to remove one of the Office programs.
The instructions for Add/Remove only say to follow the instructions in the
wizard. When I look at what "might" happen, it only says things like "add" or
"install" - doesn't say "to remove" so if I start through this, I think it
will ask for the CD, then it will start setup.
Do I remove the Office component "after" setup starts?
Is it going to interfere with the Service Pack? (1)
