Remove Office Test Drive...

I recently finished helping a friend set up his new iMac G5. We'd
planned to install Office 2004 and I know I have to deinstall the Test
Drive first.

I ran the deinstaller and it did not report that it saw all the Office
2004 apps and files that I could plainly see in the same directory it
was in. I ran it several times from the primary admin account as well as
other admin accounts. In no case did the remover see and remove the TD.
I had to leave without the deinstall + reinstall.

Is this a known issue? Is there a workaround?

I ran into the same thing on attempting to remove the Office Test Drive from
this machine. It did seem to remove the preference files properly, so I'd
suggest just deleting the Office Test Drive folder after you've run the
Remove utility. I did that and subsequently installed the full version of
Office 2004 with the latest updates. I haven't experienced any abnormal
behavior since.

Thanks, I'll recommend that.
