Remove Old Enterprise Custom Fields

scubaal

We have a project in Project Pro 2007 + Project server that has a
number of old enterprise fields 'stuck'; in the project information.
We no longer use these enterprise fields, and they dont show any more
in the manage enterprise fields in PS2007 - but they still show up in
project information in the actual project itself........how can we get
rid of them?

Hi scubaal,

try the following. Open up the project in Project Pro, go to tools >
Organizer.
Within the organiser dialog window choose the tab Fields, Check if you can
see the "old fields" and if so delete them out of there.
This may fixes your issue
Thanks
Marc

What you are seeing is a bug in Project Server 2007. The only way I found
to get rid of these "phantom" fields is to save the original Project Server
2003 file as an Excel file using the Project Excel Template. After that you
can reopen it as an .mpp file and save it, and then import it into Project
Server 2007. If you do this, however, you lose any timephased actual work
information. Hope this helps.
