remove outlook insistancy message to install desktop search

L

larune

I installed 2007 Beta. starting Outlook always prompts a message to install
Windows desktop search or to remind me later, so eventually I relented and
installed the search. This was disastrous for performance - my PC
performance was fine before and again after I uninstalled, but now once
again I have this prompt each time on startup.
Please a) fix the search performance issue (my PC copes no problem with
Google desktop). b) don't insist on installing or delaying install of this
performance problem, with no option to never install.

There is a slight performance overhead when it indexes for the first time.
Best is to let it do this overnight. IIRC the prompts to install can be
disabled in Tools-> Options-> Search Options
