Remove Password From Word Document

B

Bryan

Hi:

My boss has a word documents and put a password protection in it. So every
time he tries to open that particular word document it will prompt for
password first before the file can actually open. Unfortunately he forgot the
password for it and he did all his passwords and nothing would work.
Is their a way to remove that password. I've tried different password
recovery tool from the internet but nothing works. Any help would be
appreciated.

Thank You

Your boss has just blown it.

Unless he wants to give his credit card details to people who hack documents
for a living, he is going to have to remember what he put in the documents
and re-create them. But I guess his memory is part of the problem.

Hope this helps.

Hi
If you get an older version of the free OpenOffice (say 2.0 or maybe
2.1 but definitely not 2.2 or later) it will open passworded *.doc
files. Later versions do recognise MSO passwords so no use for this.

Open office will open an encrypted document without the password available
to decrypt it? That seems unlikely.
