Hi Bob,
So I go to Word-Preferences-Security then enter a password into the Password to Open dialogue box. I then save the document. When I open the document it asks me for the password. This is as I expected. Now I want to remove the password i.e. open the document without being asked for a password. So I go back to Word-Preferences-Security and delete the password in the Password to Open dialogue box. I click OK and then save the document (have also tried closing without saving). When I try to reopen the document it once again asks for the password.
Office 2008
OS X 10.5.5
How are you going about attempting to remove the password & exactly what
does "cannot seem to do this" mean? How did you protect the document?
Did you apply a password to *open*, a password to *modify* or *both*?
What does/does not occur when you try to remove it?
It's also useful to state the exact version of OS X & Office any time
you post an issue.
