remove protection visio

Hi,
I have a Visio document (created about 2 years ago) and I want to remove the
protection and make a minor change. The Protection selection in the Format
menu is greyed out so I can't use that. How do I go about this?

Is the shape selected when you are clicking on the Format menu?
