Remove quotation marks in address book?

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Email Client: pop I know why they're there. I stumbled around exporting and importing from Outlook in a CSV format -- that was before I found out about O2M. If they can't help me, I would like to edit the address book, e.g., find all " and replace with nothing. If that's possible, how do I do it? Thanks.

You need to export as a text file then use something like BBEdit to find
and replace the ".

Do a search for ".
Drag all search items into a Note. You can export the note as a text file.
Clean up the quotes and import back into Entourage.
You'll need to delete the originals.

I suggest making a backup file first as a safety measure. File > Export
Entourage archive (.rge) file select only item > Contacts.

Paul Berkowitz's Export Import scripts (shareware) can help with this,
but they don't work under Snow Leopard.

Thank you for the help, but it turns out that I didn't need all of it. I'm embarrassed that I didn't think of it myself. I'm getting too old for this!

Your key item was "export it to a text file", which I did as tab-delimited, so I could fool with the quotes which are critical to a CSV file. Then I was going to use Word, but I stumbled across TextEdit, which was perfect for killing the quotes. I deleted all the current address book entries, imported my edited text file, and I was done!

Thanks again for the quick response!
