Remove Resource From Project in Project Server

Using Project Server 2003 I was taught that you could remove a resource

from a project by changing the resource, in the resource sheet on the
project, from committed to proposed. I tested this and saw that the
project tasks are removed from the task sheet and that the project is
removed from the Project Center view. Without the project being
listed, it is difficult (but not impossible of course) for the resource

to get to the WSS site.

We just repeated the test and while the tasks are removed from the Task

view, the project name still shows up in the Project Center.

I am thinking that there is a permission that we missed that allows the

Project Center view even when there is no assignment.

Any ideas? TIA.

Me:

Projects will show in Project Centre even if no assignments are created, but
the resource is on the project team. You must remove them from the team and
republish to remove the project from their project centre view. Even then, I
think they would still have permissions to WSS until you synchronised the
users (would need to test this!)

There is no permission apart from 'view project centre' that will allow
anything different to this.

Hope this helps

You aren't removing the resources by doing this, you're simply hiding the
tasks in the timesheet view. Every other aspect of the project remains. Now,
you have to decide what else you need to happen and why. If you need to
maintain the project and it's current records, you can further hide the
project in views by manipulating permissions through groups and categories.
