Remove Reviewing Toolbar from default start in new document

I am working in XP and Office 2002. Whenever I start a new document (am
concerned about Word in particular) the Reviewing toolbar is open. I very
rarely need the Reviewing toolbar and would prefer not to see it. How do I
open a new document showing only the toolbars that I want to see without
having to go in and turn it off on every document?
