EdgardM,
So there is no sound icon, it could be it was dragged into the grey/blue
surrounding area, to check zoom out to 50 % and see if you can find it.
If not, you can find slide transitions by clicking on the Animations tab on
the ribbon, in the transition to this slide group, see if the sound is
mentioned next to the 'transition sound' icon, if so choose no sound. Then
hit apply to all.

EdgardM,
So you got a pps as an attachment and double clicked it. Choose open and the
show has started, yes? Press Escape, that should end the show.
Instead double click the pps attachment and click the save button, put it in
a folder of your choice. Or right click the attachment, choose save as.
Now open it in PowerPoint, in PPT 2007 that would be by clicking on the
Office-button (upper left corner of the screen, looks like a giant pizza)
and choosing open. Browse to the folder with the pps and open it. Now look
for the loud speaker icon or look for the slide transition like Lucy and
myself tried to explain. You can zoom out using the zoom slider in the
bottom right corner of the PowerPoint screen.
If it is PowerPoint 2003, do the same thing, to open just click the Open
button on the default toolbar look for your pps and open it. You will find
the zoom on the default toolbar, click the listarrow next to the current
zoom percentage and choose 50% or even less.
For the slide transition look for the slide transition task pane on the
right of the screen. If there is no task pane, click View - task pane. In
the taskpane you will find a listarrow, click it and choose slide
transition. You will find the sound file (if present) next to the sound list
in the change transition section at the bottom.

If what Luc does not work for you can send the presentation to me and I'll
remove the sound file, and send it back along with an explanation on what I
did. If you send it,send it to (e-mail address removed) making sure that Remove
sound is in the subject line.

Hi,
I've tried to remove the "sound icon" with all the suggestions posted
however none are working.

I have clicked the "hide" sound icon....nada
I have tried to move it off screen...it moves sort of.....well, it moves but
stays if that makes sense so.....nada.
I have gone into transitions...no sound is mentioned but have sound
so.....nada.

I'm wondering if I added the sound so it couldn't be removed? I don't know
if that makes sense.

I have a title.
Then picture underneath
Then the sound with the icon right in the middle of the picture.

Thanks ahead for any help offered.

You can't add a sound so that it cannot be removed. Like I said in my
previous post, send it to me and I will have a look at it
