Remove task from administrative project

How can I remove a resource's visibility to a task in his timesheet if the
task is from an administrative project? I want to retain previous work
performed.

Unfortunately this is one of the deficiencies with Admin projects. Once you
define the tasks and assignments you cannot delete tasks or remove resources
using conventional methods.

You can open the project in Pro and save locally. Highlight the task that
you want to remove the reosurce and press Assig Resources. Remove the
resource from the task. You will receive a warnig that there are actuals.
Press OK. The actuals will remain. Save the local project.

Open the Admin project from Project Server and set the resources to Proposed
and Republish Assignments. This will remove the project from everyone's
timesheet.

Open the local project and Save As. It will retain the Administrative
project status. You will also receive a warning asking you to synchronize to
timesheets. Answer "Yes". There aren't any timesheets for the project but the
actual time will be retained. You will have to assign a different (albeit
similar) name (i.s. Admin Project V2). Pubish. All of the original tasks and
resources with the exception of the one you removed will publish and be
"pushed" tot eh timesheet.
