Remove text from duration cell

Hi Everybody,

In work or duration column, text 'hrs' follows the value it takes, eg
1.2hrs, 4hrs. Is there a way to remove text 'hrs' from the cell and
leave the value alone? I only need the value 1.2 instead of 1.2 hrs
for that column. Please help.

Thanks,
Tracey

If you click Tools - Options - Edit, you will see that your choices are h,
hr, and hour. Those are the only choices. There is no option to remove the
text entirely. Hope this helps.

Hi Dale,

Thanks a lot for your quick response.

I have another question. I inserted 'text1' column and renamed it as
'Description' in Gantt Chart. Then I input all description for tasks.
But when I tried to insert the same description in Resource usage, I
can't find 'Description' in column definition. How can I have the same
information in different charts and only have to input once?

Please help.

The Description field is a Task field. The Resource Usage view is a
Resource view. You can only apply Resource fields in Resource views, which
is why you can't see the Description field on the list. Hope this helps.
