Remove the automatic update

Every time I boot up my XP laptop (after full shutdown) I get the following
dialog:
2007 Microsoft Office Suite Service Pack 1 (SP1) --that's the Window title
Running update detection, please wait
then
Extracting files, p;ease wait...


How can I remove this?
