In a document with multiple section breaks I find the font and paragraph
format constantly changing. I have tured off all the automatic formatting
and unchecked tha autoupdate in the style boxes I use. In order to conform
to the company standard I am constantly having to reformat the document. I am
running Version 9.0.4402 SR-1 running on Win 2000 Pro v. 5.00.2195 Service
Pack 4.

It's very difficult to guess without some more idea of how you are working.
If you have predefined styles and Automatically update is NOT set for any of
the styles, there shouldn't be a problem. Is it the actual Style Definition
that changes or the formatting on the page?

Have you tamed all the AutoFormat and other undesirable Word automation? See
