Your custom dictionary is a text file. You can edit and remove the error.

In OneNote 2007 click on Tools, Spelling, Spelling Options and then Custom
Dictionaries. At the top right there is an edit button.

If your unspecified applications is not OneNote 2007, check the
application's Help for assistance.

steve h shared these words of wisdom:
thanks for reply I am using 2003 and cannot locate the dictionary
this way

Do yourself a favour and get an upgrade.
There's literally worlds between ON2003 and its successor.

To quote myself: "He who still works with ON2003 instead of upgrading,
punishes himself day by day and hour by hour.

ON2003 was a typical MS "first shot" (just to mention Word 1.0 and 2.0,
PowerPoint 1.0 and 2.0 or Access 1.0 (and to certain extent 2.0 too)
which were hardly usable under professional aspects). It was good for
giving an impression what a totally new approach to getting daily
things done in a productive way might be good for and - not be
forgotten - creating enough public response with the experience of
"early bird" users in order to get to know which might be the proper
directions of possible further development.
If one would be cynical one might say "paid for Beta test" <bg,d&rvf>.

ON2007 did benefit a lot from that. It's had become a fantastic
product. Not yet perfect and a lot more to be done. But worth any penny
the update does cost.
