remove words from dictionary

Hello,

I have Word 2003 installed and MS Proofing Tools XP (I upgraded Word
2002 to Word 2003 but did not buy Proofing Tools 2003 yet).

I find the spelling checker very useful. Sometimes I add words to the
dictionary so that they are recognized as valid by the tool.

Unfortunately I added some words including real spelling mistakes to
the dictionary. The consequence is that now if I make a spelling
mistake in a text then Word 2003 won't detect it as a mistake. This
upsets me.

How can I remove added words from the dictionary?

Thanks.

Jean

I don't have the 2003 version but the 2002 and, there, Help gives good
instructions on editing a Custom Dictionary. Is this perhaps another
example of Microsoft ruining Help? Just in case this is so, the
sequence is:-

Tools---Options---Spelling & Grammar---Custom Dictionaries----Modify.
