Removed Accounts but Outlook Still Trys to Send/Receive to them

I removed 3 obselete email accounts from Outlook 2007. It appeared to work
because they are no longer in the account list. However Outllook keeps
asking for the password for those accounts every time it replicats. It is
maddening. Any ideas on how to fix?

Did you remove them using the mail applet in the Control Panel?

I went to Tools, Account Settings, selected the account and then selected
remove.

Did you have old e-mails that were composed when those now-deleted e-mail
accounts were defined? If so, at the time you composed them, an account was
recorded through which they would be sent. If the account doesn't exist
anymore then those old e-mails cannot be sent but that doesn't stop them
from existing or from you or Outlook trying to send them. Either delete
those old e-mails that point at the deleted accounts or edit them and use
the Accounts button to change through which account they get sent.

I have no idea what word you really meant to use for "replicats". Is that a
new Cats musical that involves cloning?
