Removing a Directory Service account (when it's the Exchange acct)

Now that I've got LDAP to work, I have one last annoying problem related to
it: the search in Directory Services returns valid addresses, however, I
also get the error message "Error 10001: The directory service was unable to
perform the search."

I think this is because I have two Directory Service accounts (two show up
in the "Folder List" pane of the "Directory Services" window). One account
is the new one I set up after I installed ADmitMac, the one that seems to
"work". The other account is my default Exchange account. I added this as
a "Directory Service" account during the time I was trying anything to get
LDAP to work. Now I don't want it in the list... However, since it is THE
Exchange account, I can't seem to delete it from the Directory Services list
without deleting the entire account itself! (This doesn't happen with other
accounts that are strictly for Directory Service.) I really don't want to do
this. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Rick

You should be able to just remove the Directory Service information from the
Exchange account. If there's no server listed, there's no LDAP account.

I had tried that (and just tried it again). It doesn't seem to work. The
Exchange account is still listed as a directory service, and apparently it's
still searched when I do a lookup, because I get the same error ("10001: The
directory service was unable to perform the search.")

Unless this error means something else? Again, the search is successful,
but I always get this error popup over the results...

Thanks,
Rick
