Removing a resource from a plan

At the beginning of production going live, we were told if we change a
resource from commited to proposed he / she would no longer have access to
the plan (showing up in his / her PWA) and not having any further access to
the associated sharepoint site. How do I take away this access after the
resource has posted time?

What is your question?

I assume you want to remove a resource from a plan after the resource
entered time against the plan. Is that correct?

You know if you do that, the hours against the task the resource was
assigned to will be lost; and, if you had multiple resources on a task, your
Work and Remaining Work calculations won't reflect what happened anymore.

Okay, but you just want to delete the resource from that one plan. If you
are not using Managed Time Periods, all you nhave to do is go into the MS
Project Plan and go to the Resource Usage sheet and zero out all work, then
delete the resource.

If you don't want that person accessing the SharePoint site for that
Project, make sure you go into SharePoint Admin and delete that user (or,
after uploading the file and the file clears View Drop, re-synchronize that
plan and the user will be dropped from SharePoint for that Project)...
