Removing Admin Project from Timesheet

I have a client who would like to "closeout" an admin project and remove it
from individuals timesheets. He has created new admin projects to replace
the old ones and would like to not have both admin projects show up.

Is there a way to hide or remove the admin projects without deleting the
projects and actual work against them?

Yes, there are a few ways to do this. The easy way is to:

1. Open the admin project and go to Tools > Build Team from
Enterprise.
2. Change the Booking Type from Confirmed to Proposed for every
resource on the project.
3. If you have Project level custom field or outline code for project
state, change the project state to indicated closed or something like
that.
4. Republish the project and resource assignments.

This will take the Admin project tasks out of the resource timesheets
and the project will no longer show up in the Project Center.
However, you can still see the project in OLAP and the project owner
will still see the project in the file list.

If you really want to archive the file, email me and I can send you a
procedure.
